Recent Salmonella Outbreak 2024. As of september 6, 2024, a total of 65 people infected with the outbreak strain of salmonella have been reported from nine states. The most recent cases were detected in finland in october 2023 and in the uk in february 2024.

Individuals who became ill were between 0 to 100 years of age. A salmonella outbreak affecting dozens of states is now known to have sickened 449 victims and led to 125 hospitalizations.
